Fraser to Granby Trail

Difficulty: Easy to Intermediate

Length: 16.1 Miles

Access Points: Along Highway 40, between the towns of Granby and Fraser

Description: The Fraser to Granby Trail is the perfect trail for all ages and skill levels to hike, bike and cross-country ski. Start your journey in Winter Park on paved, dual track trails and head into the Fraser Valley as you are surrounded with towering peaks and old mining homesteads.

After passing through Fraser, you will enter the small community of Tabernash. Here the trail turns into packed gravel and the level of difficulty slightly increases. Soon you will pass Snow Mountain Ranch YMCA of the Rockies if you would like to stop to take in the scenery, refuel or even zip-line on-site.

A short downhill from Snow Mountain Ranch YMCA of the Rockies will take you to a extended climb to Granby Ranch, where you can stop for lunch or a drink. At the top of the climb to Granby Ranch you will find county roads that will take you towards the town of Granby. Descend the county roads following the signs for the Fraser to Granby Trail. Next, you will pick up a single-track trail again for a long, enjoyable downhill into Granby. The single-track trail levels out, and you will finish the last few miles as you hike or bike into Granby on a smooth bike path.
